The Minister of Environment, Joseph Joute, visits the Reserve and promises his support in officially declaring the Reserve and its surroundings (which are the watersheds for three main rivers in Haiti) a National Protected Area. The legal process and decree still need to happen, but this is a big step forward for us.
Minister of Environment Pierre Simon Georges thus justifies this decision: "Wynne Farm's Ecological Reserve is a natural asset and is a national heritage."
Today 2 Alpacas arrived at Wynne Farm. They came from Mission Baptist, and we are forever grateful to them for choosing Wynne Farm as their new home. They are two male Suri Alpaca, named Jack & Bucky.
